Serious Games for Policy Design
As Fields of View, we build games and simulations to understand cities better. We use games as formal research tools to understand complex policies that govern cities. In order to use the games as formal research tools, they have to be designed with specific rules and methods such that they are able to yield good data. In this talk we demonstrate how we design such games with a few case studies. At the end of the session we hope to establish games as a serious and formal tool that can be used to study complex entities such as cities.
