Javascript has been the glue which binds all web technologies together when building a Web Application. In this session I am going to talk about building cross platform desktop applications using Electron which uses web technologies. Electron is an open source platform developed by Github which enables web developers build desktop applications. I will not be discussing details on how to build applications in the session but rather keep it fixed on scenarios on when to go for a desktop application and in turn why to check out electron as an option to build cross platform apps.
