Gaming was a colossal waste of time. Things have changed a lot now.
Gaming is no more just a “hobby”. Gaming is also a profession now, courtesy eSports. Sure, eSports has been there since a while, but with the explosion of Free To Play games like Dota 2, League of Legends and paid games like StarCraft 2, more and more people are taking up gaming more than just a hobby.
Then there are streamers, who live stream their gaming sessions often for 8+ hours daily.
For casuals like me, games have made a great progress across all categories – be in storytelling, graphics, melding genres.
