3d printing is an additive manufacturing process for making 3 dimensional object of any shape from a 3d model. This technology is will re-define how we look at designs & digital manufacturing. It is an industry which will grow at the rate of 30% in the years to come and will have massive impact on many industries and change the way we lead our lives. Some of the path breaking applications will be in engineering, architecture, design, healthcare, defence, fashion, consumer products, aerospace, automotive, academics, etc. This talk will provide an overview of 3d printing, the various technologies available, various 3d printers, materials, software, hardware, economics, applications, industry segments and how things would change in the future.
