Groovy is a very powerful language, which many consider as an apt alternative to Java. While Groovy builds upon the strengths of Java, it also has additional power features inspired by languages like Python, Ruby and Smalltalk. Guess what, it compiles straight to Java bytecode so you can use it anywhere you can use Java. And the number of lines of code is wayy less than a normal Java program.
Groovy combined with a opensource framework Grails, could create and deploy enterprise ready applications in astonishingly less time.
This session covers a brief overview of Groovy and how one can use Grails for creating applications. Come,lets get groovy with groovy!
