Software defined networking has become the next wave in the networking area as it was visualization which lead the data center and cloud computing revolution. SDN opened up new opportunities and with VMware acquisition of Nicira it became evident of mutli-billion dollar market. With GENI and major academia backing openflow and SDN, there are serious efforts being made to tap on to the possibilities of innovation in SDN.
