The existing Social Platforms require you to first add connections and your connections pretty much define the content you’ll see and the conversations that you can have.
However, the real-life social networks operate in a different way. People run into one another as a matter of “chance” (destiny?). They first have conversations which can lead to connection.
The next wave of Social Platforms will mimic this model. The model is termed as “Elastic Social Networks”.
At soch.la, we are working on building such network around cricket. In the process, whatever thoughts/ideas I have gathered, I’ll share them in this session.
